Hellfire Pass

Hellfire Pass is a significant site on the Weary Dunlop Trail, marking the location where prisoners of war were forced to work under harsh conditions. The pass is named after the intense heat and humidity that made the work unbearable for the prisoners.

As we walked through the pass, we were struck by the sheer scale of the construction and the sheer determination of the prisoners who worked on the railway. The pass is a testament to the resilience and courage of those who endured unimaginable hardships during World War II.
